ReadyNotRich exists because emergency preparedness has a reputation problem. Most advice online is written for extreme survivalists — bunkers, year-long food stockpiles, and gear costing thousands. That leaves out everyone else.
The reality is that most emergencies are mundane: power outages, severe storms, temporary job loss, or supply chain disruptions. A household can handle all of these comfortably with a few hundred dollars of sensible preparation and a bit of planning.
We write guides and review products for ordinary households with ordinary budgets. No fearmongering, no survivalist identity required — just practical, honest advice.
